Like all Catherine Cookson's stories, 'The Secret' contains the perfect mixture of romance, tension and passion. This one is truly my favourite. It tells the story of Freddie Musgrave (played by Colin Buchanan aka Peter Pascoe)who's been living with and older woman ever since he was a young boy. They have a kind of love / mother-son relationship. Together they share a terrible secret which surfaces again when Belle, a young girl who also lives with them meets the charming Marcel. When they marry things start to go wrong and Freddie has to save Belle.
A fascinating story for true romantics. |
